Julie Hamilton Johnson, a native of Jefferson City, MO has been a member of the Foundation Board since 2001. She is a proud graduate of Lincoln University (MO), where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology; and hold a Master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University, Nacogdoches, TX.
Julie’s past recognitions include The Lincoln University (MO) Distinguished Alumni Award (2001); National Association for Equal Opportunity (NAFEO) in Higher Education Distinguished Alumni Award (2003); and in 1976, she was the first African-American teacher to be named “Teacher of the Year” by the Garland, TX Independent School District.
Julie is a member of the Orange County (CA) Links, Inc., and holds life memberships in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the Lincoln University Alumni Association, Inc.
